Finally moving on

The marina at Port Antonio was not a bad place to wait while we endured the frustrating process of arranging the replacement/repair of the linear drive hydraulic cylinder for the autopilot.
In the end,and after trying to have the unit repaired locally, we were forced to source a complete new unit which had to come fro Seattle.  All this over Xmas/New Year.
To add to our woes both crew were struck down by a particularly vicious dose of the flu.
Before long a month had passed.

It rains a lot in Port Antonio. Regularly 5 inches a day. We were at anchor the whole time and kept our water tanks full from the rain.

 Another market scene at PA

We did have a social time.

 The blue belles

When we finally were able to move on we made a brief stop at Ochos Rios, a cruise ship port.

A pretty anchorage surrounded by resorts and trinket shops and touts!

We had to avoid the ships as we entered

And of course we had to visit another Margeritaville

Then on to Montego Bay where we anchored off the Yacht Club.

Nearby Pier 1 was located next to the Jamaican Marine Park building

Which was interesting.  The nearby drains and creeks discharged sewage.

MBYC is a lovely oasis

 More Port Antonio
